Minestrone Soup with Turkey Sausage

1 lb. turkey sausage, chopped
2 cans (14 oz) beans; puree them
1 32-oz can low-sodium chicken broth
1 28-oz can diced tomatoes
1 head cabbage, chopped or shredded
6 leaves of chard chopped
3 onions chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
4 celery stalks chopped
¼ cup brown rice flour (optional)
3 tbsp fresh parsley and basil chopped
3 tsp turmeric and oregano
1 cup water
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil, onions, and garlic in a large pot for 5-10 minutes. Stir continuously. Add cabbage and continue to sauté for a few minutes. Add chicken broth and the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 1.5 hours.
